Evolution of Swarovski Hotfix Rose Crystals
Swarovski's Hotfix Rose family follows the same progression of round flat-back cutting: from the earlier 12-facet 2012 Rose Hotfix to the 14-facet 2028 XILION Rose Hotfix, the refined 14-facet 2038 XILION Rose Hotfix and finally the 16-facet 2078 XIRIUS Rose Hotfix. The earlier 2012 and 2028 generations have been discontinued from the current production program, while 2038 and 2078 continue the Hotfix Rose family.
The XIRIUS generation introduced a more complex star-like facet geometry that distributes reflected light across more angles. As the crystal, wearer or light source moves, different facets catch the light in sequence, producing crisp highlights, bright flashes and a livelier scintillation than the earlier XILION generations.
