The crystal features one of the most popular effects, AB (Aurora Borealis), or "northern lights," developed by Swarovski in collaboration with Christian Dior in 1955. This surface effect, applied via vacuum coating to any transparent or colored crystal, enhances light reflection, creating a unique color play and intense, vibrant flashes. It is the most popular effect for sports and performance costumes.
CAL SI - The CAL (Comet Argent Light) effect is used as a mirror-like coating on the front of the crystal, while the back remains transparent (no standard foiling, e.g., A, F). The crystal is used "in reverse," with the back serving as the front side.
